We hope you will enjoy the selection, using different shapes of freshwater pearls including biwa, coin, keshi and diamond; not to mention the beautiful classic round pearl. 

Biwa pearls:  These are some of the finest freshwater pearls that were once produced in Lake Biwa, in Japan.  They are long, rectangular shaped pearls that are available in many colors such as peacock and champagne.  These are usually a fraction of the price of the original pearl.

Coin pearls:  Coin pearls are cute and cool, and as flat and round as money!  These are one of the most common types of Chinese freshwater pearls, as they are grown as much as 50 at a time in giant mollusks.  These are typically the least expensive of the pearl shapes.

Keshi pearls:  Keshi pearls are happy little accidents!  They are formed from fragments of the bead-shapes implanted in the mollusk to grow cultured pearls.  The pebble-like pearls come in many colors from champagne to green to silver and the prices vary from moderate to expensive. 

Diamond pearls:  This is one of the newest styles coming from the Chinese freshwater pearl beds.  The diamond pearl comes from inserting a specially shaped implant into the mollusk, so the pearl may form around it.  This beautiful diamond shape is usually only slightly more expensive than the more common round or coin shapes.
